WHY DO YOU #CHOOSEADVENTURE?
Because my life has largely been defined by rich experiences. Choosing adventure means I live with the intent of living my best, most abundant life full of extraordinary experiences.
ADVENTURE MAKES YOU FEEL...
Strong, grounded, and fulfilled. Whether I’m climbing a mountain, camping with friends, or in a foreign land where I don’t speak the language, I am learning, growing, and becoming a better soul.
HOW HAS ADVENTURE CHANGED YOUR LIFE?
Adventure has taught me patience, humility, and compassion. In the most intense, fearful, and challenging situations, I’ve learned to navigate through a sea of emotions for the best possible outcome. I’ve tested my own limits time after time, and gained a deeper understanding of my strengths.
FAVORITE TYPE OF ADVENTURE?
I am both an outdoor and travel junkie. Culture feeds my soul, and outdoor adventure plays a large part in my growth. My favorite type of adventure is one where I can have the best of both worlds. A little bit of adrenaline pumping outdoors, and a little bit of new cultural experiences.
FAVORITE ADVENTURE TO DATE?
Traveling to Peru with one of my best friends. We met incredible people, hiked the Inca Trail through a hail storm, scared ourselves to death while staying in the jungle, ate the most amazing food, connected with the land in such a meaningful way, and laughed the entire time.
WHAT IS YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE PLANNED?
I believe adventure is a way of life and we shouldn’t think of it as something that requires too much time, planning, or resources. Next weekend I’ll be doing a mural taco tour on bikes. My friends and I will ride by some of the murals sites in the San Fernando Valley while looking for the best tacos in the area. In a couple months I will be visiting Argentina to trek through Patagonia, dance a little tango, and drink a little Malbec.
YOUR ULTIMATE ADVENTURE BUCKET LIST IS?
Travel through Latin America for six months, visit all the US National Parks, go skiing in Japan, cycle through New Zealand, and learn to play the guitar so I can be in a band. Or at minimum learn to sing a few Chavela Vargas songs - she's was bad ass.
THE PERSON/PEOPLE WHO INSPIRE ME MOST TO TAKE AN ADVENTURE...
My Latino Outdoors tribe. Culture completes our adventures, and through that community I feel whole.
