Why do you #ChooseAdventure?
Well… I guess because why not? What’s the alternative? I don’t know that I really choose to adventure. I grew up outside so it has become so engrained in my lifestyle that I’m not sure I could go with out it. I know, I know, I might be an adventure junkie.
Adventure makes you feel...
At home! Like this is exactly what I am supposed to be doing and where I am supposed to be. It gives me a sense of clarity and purpose. I work during the week and I get restless. Getting outside is my salvation.
Favorite type of adventure?
Can I just say: ALL! I am up for any type of adventure, but when I’m planning the adventure it always seems to revolve around 3 things: Backpacking, Skiing, or Fly Fishing. Oh and eating, of course. There is never a shortage of delicious food!
Favorite adventure to date?
I think this answer might change daily based on what is going on in my life, but if I had to pick right now I would say skiing in Chamonix or hiking the John Muir Trail last summer. Both of these were part of the inspiration to start my own outdoor company, which is another favorite, and a whole different kind of adventure.
What is your next adventure planned?
Montana for a fly fishing trip and then Yosemite for a backpacking trip.
Your ultimate adventure bucket list is?
Hike The Wonderland Trial
Travel around the Galapagos & Machu Picchu
Hike The Napali Coast
Heli Skiing in Alaska
Bum around New Zealand for awhile
The person/people who inspire me most to take an adventure...
My Mom! I always joke that traveling is in my blood and if anyone can vouch for that it’s my mother. She is always off on her own adventures. She taught me to figure out what I want and find a way to make it happen. She has always inspired me, challenged me, and given me the courage to adventure.
