Why do you #ChooseAdventure?
It makes me feel alive and life is too short not to feel that.
Adventure makes you feel...
Favorite type of adventure?
If I have to choose my favorite type, I would say it’s living in Hood River and being able to pick from the goodie bag of options whenever I want. At times it could be jumping on my bike and spending hours letting my body and mind get lost in Post Canyon, my backyard. Or trying my hand at kiting in the magic that is the Columbia River. Second to those adventures would be jumping on a plane headed over to Chamonix, the place that captured my heart many years ago.
Favorite adventure to date?
After a health / life scare, I decided to do what I had dreamt of doing for most of my twenties: I quit my job, moved to Courchevel, France and became a glorified ski bum. I worked insane hours but I lived and worked about 500 feet from the Disneyland-esque mountain. That feeling of having an hour off and spending it in the magic that is the French Alps is most definitely what my dreams are made of. I walked away with a life experience that I will never forget and life lessons I’m fortunate enough to be able to apply every day.
What is your next adventure planned?
I recently blew my ACL so my adventures have been limited to PT sessions and soul crushing exercises at the gym. Provided I can get my knee up and running in time, I am dreaming of heading over to Morocco to kiteboard this July.
