In hurry? Here Are What Matters

Overall, the Fairlight 10’9 All-Rounder is worth every other consideration.

It’s a lightweight, stable, maneuverable, and rigid SUP that is made for heavier paddlers as well as those who want to practice SUP fitness.

Plus, it’s really light and easy to carry down, as well as to store away. It also rests lower in the water due to its thinner thickness, offering exceptional stability even in strong winds.

PERFORMANCE

MANEUVERABILITY

At just 17.8lbs, it is exceptionally lightweight; you can change direction or even maneuver obstacles.

Plus, it has a strategically positioned elevated kick pad. You may easily sink the tail into the water by putting your foot on it. This will allow you a great deal of flexibility in pivoting the board in any direction.

Overall, it’s admirably maneuverable. Due to its solid feeling on water, you really use very little effort to direct this board.

SPEED & GLIDE

The speed with which it moves will surprise you. It has a faster top speed than the Byron 10’6. Because it is taller and has a heavier paddler, that gives it more advantage over the Byron 10’6. It has more volume and rigidity, and this means more power.

With a weight of 17.8lbs, this board accelerates to cruising speed quickly. Furthermore, this board glides without much difficulty because of its overall design.

TRACKING

Because of its single-center fin, it tracks quite well. With each stroke, it eliminates side-to-side tail movement, allowing this board to track very effectively. Additionally, because of its 33″ width, this board is great for paddlers with a longer reach who like to maintain their paddle upright.

STABILITY

Compared to Honu Byron, The Honu Fairlight 10’9 All-Rounder is slightly more stable on the water.

With a thickness of 4.72″ rather than the standard 6″ for most boards, you’ll benefit from a lower center of gravity, making this board more stable on the water.

With this board stability, not only will you obtain good performance, but you’ll also be able to move and turn well on the water with this. It actually makes it the greatest option if you’re a big paddler who is looking for a great amount of versatility.

FEATURES

CONSTRUCTION

On the deck and bottom, the Honu Fairlight 10’9 All-Rounder is made using a cross-woven drop-stitch and two layers of fused PVC. It’s one of the reasons behind the board’s minimal weight.

For rigidity, the designers used a technique known as ‘genesis construction,’ which consists of triplicate stacked rails. This increases its stiffness, allowing it to endure pressures of up to 20 PSI.

The designers used the firm’s compact 185 fin-box in conjunction with the FCS II toolless fin. Because any conventional center fin can fit in this design, you can pick and select your own fin.

DECK PAD

The diamond-patterned soft deck pad on the Honu is always useful. It can provide a good grip while keeping your feet comfortable. You will not easily fall, even if the board is fairly wet.

FINS

It only has one central fin. It does play a key role as it can prevent side-to-side tail movement.

CARRY HANDLES

The Honu Fairlight 10’9 All-Rounder has three carry handles (front, center, and back) for simple transport, making the board’s launching and loading a breeze.

BUNGEE AREA

Another great feature is the rear and back bungee system. While the 2 have been slimmed down, meaning you won’t have to carry much, it also functions as a paddle holder, freeing up your hands if you decide to go for a swim.

D-RINGS

In the cargo area, the designers chose to replace the D-Ring cargo tie-down with a soft nylon loop, which is completely different from what we’ve seen before. If you fall off your board, you don’t have to worry about knocking it off.

ACCESSORIES

When compared to other versatile all-around alternatives available on the market, it does have a limited range of features.

Many people may be disappointed to learn that this board does not come with a paddle. It is, however, possible to purchase it separately. It does, however, come with the following much-needed accessories.

PUMP

This is a single-chambered dual-action hand pump. It is relatively light, making it easy to transport. It isn’t quite as powerful as an electric one, but it gets the job done.

BACKPACK

It comes with a roller backpack, which is a terrific bonus. It is solidly constructed, with 1680D Ballistic Nylon, thick padded shoulder straps, and a wheel. It will not only give you easy access to some of your stuff, but it will also allow you to carry it with ease, even when it is fully loaded and hefty

LEASH

The Honu Fairlight 10’9 All-Rounder has a high-quality safety leash. It is well designed and you will like how it feels.

FCS II CENTER FIN

This fin is quite simple to assemble. You won’t need any special equipment, and the fin will be in place in a matter of seconds.

WARRANTY & RETURNS INFO

The Honu Fairlight 10’9 All-Rounder comes with a 2-year warranty and 4 years of free repair provided you register your board upon purchase.
