Simple message….if you haven’t been to Whistler and you love to ski or ride….Go! Canada Awaits!

Needless to say we are still crushin’ on Whistler, as our latest visit did not disappoint. It also happens to beWhistler’s 50th this year, celebrating 50 years of going beyond! #WBGoBeyond

So why do we love this mountain (or mountains should we say) so much…..The People

Friendly and Inspirational. Welcome to one of the friendliest mountain towns and resorts. The week was full of making new friends and getting helpful tips. The resort staff really went above and beyond in addressing any questions on the mountain throughout our stay. The people skiing and riding the mountain are inspirational no doubt! The mountain is sprinkled with exceptional skiers and boarders young and old and watching their dance with it leaves you stoked to get better at your game. Canada gave us a warm welcome!

Free Mountain Tours

There is a ton of terrain to cover at Whistler Blackcomb-it is the largest resort in North America spanning 8171 acres and two side-by-side mountains connected by the Guinness World Record-holding PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola! If it is your first time there, these mountain tours can be essential in discovering the best parts of Whistler and Blackcomb. You pick which mountain, meet at 11:15 am, depart at 11:30 am, and join one of the groups that meets your skill level from intermediate to expert. We took a tour on the Blackcomb side and got some fun turns in the glacier. Cheers to the amazing mountain host volunteers!

Accessible Backcountry

Whistler offers a gateway to a vast area of unmarked and unpatrolled backcountry access in the Garibaldi Provincial Park. We had a fun day earning our turns with Extremely Canadian in their Intro to Backcountry Group to freshen up on backcountry skills and explore the beautiful terrain that lies outside of the resort boundaries. Needless to say, our Whistler bucket list has grown exponentially! Please take note, you should always be prepared for avalanche and glacier hazards and be aware of all backcountry avalanche advisories. Be safe!

Terrain for All

What do you fancy…Big Mountain, High Alpine, Powder-Filled Bowls, Trees, Groomers, or a Family Learning Zone? The good news is you can have it all!

After a full on day on the mountain, what better than some après time?! Whistler has no shortage of après spots, yet our favorite is still GLC, for its lively scene, nachos, music, and overall good vibes! Need more ideas, check this out.

Fresh Turns and Breakfast!

Fresh Tracks – For only $19.95 CAD you get a yummy buffet breakfast and first turns on the mountain! Get ready for some epic views and feeling like you have a whole mountain to yourself! The early wake up call is totally worth it! Although the first gondola ride up is at 7:15, best to get there a bit earlier, especially on those powder days as access is limited to the first 650 people at the base on the morning of the breakfast.

You like pow and parties, you found your spot! Keep that après vibe rolling into the evening…have your pick.

Views that Take Your Breath Away

Last but certainly not least, Whistler is a beautiful place. On a bluebird day the views leave you utterly inspired and wet you appetite for adventures to come.

It’s no wonder Whistler is North America’s #1 Rated Resort 2015.16 by Ski Magazine! We couldn’t agree more and can’t wait to go back! Plan your trip today!
